Our Commitment
Technology should never leave anyone behind — least of all an accessory designed to be held by everyone. We are committed to ensuring our website and shopping experience are usable by people of all abilities, including people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive and speech disabilities.
Standards We Follow
We design and test our store against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and align with Section 508 accessibility principles. We also review emerging guidance, including WCAG 2.2, as our site evolves.
Accessibility Features You Will Find
- Keyboard navigation: menus, product carousels, carts and checkout can be operated without a mouse
- Descriptive alternative text: meaningful images include alt text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
- Logical structure: consistent headings, landmarks and reading order help assistive technologies orient quickly
- Color contrast: text and interface elements are designed to meet or exceed contrast ratios
- Visible focus indicators: keyboard users can always see where they are
- Scalable text and responsive layouts: the site adapts cleanly to zoom and small screens
- Clear forms with labels: every checkout and contact field is programmatically associated with its label, and errors are described in text
- Reduced motion: animations and auto-rotating banners are designed to respect motion preferences and pausing controls
- Readable language: policies are written in plain English with layered headings so you can skim or study as you prefer
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is a journey, not a checkbox. We:
- Run automated scans and manual audits on key templates each quarter
- Test with screen readers and keyboard-only flows before launching major redesigns
- Train our design, development and content teams on accessible practices
- Hold our third-party apps (reviews, chat, payments) to the same expectations through procurement requirements
Known Limitations
Some third-party content, such as embedded social posts or video, may not yet fully meet our standards. We are actively working with those providers and prioritizing fixes.
Feedback and Assistance
If anything on our site is difficult to use, we want to hear about it — promptly and specifically. Contact us through our Contact page with:
- The page or feature where you ran into trouble
- The assistive technology you used, if any
- What you were trying to accomplish
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to follow up with a concrete plan. We are also happy to provide information, orders or policies in an alternative format on request.
